Our first experiment was with a small plaster fish. Our thought was to create a decorative object that would be of value to someone, and that would be a vessel for plastics that could not (or would not) be recycled in South Florida’s current system.

South Florida has some tricky recycling rules, and on top of that, current contracts throughout Broward county allow the recycling programs to decide if our recyclables are delivered to recycling plants or the local landfill (Sources: WLRN & Local10).

If they won’t recycle our plastics, we will.
