Plastic Ocean 001 is the first in a new series of artwork by the team at Free Plastic. Mulched unrecyclable plastics & plastic pollution from beaches in Broward County, Florida create an ocean for the shark, made from a maple pallet also found on Broward County beaches.

Plastic Ocean 001 contains 354 grams of mulched unrecycleable and ocean plastics, farmed from our south Florida beaches. 354 grams is equivalent to 700 plastic drinking straws, or 30 single use plastic cups, or nearly 90 single use plastic utensils. All are pollution that are constantly being farmed from our waters and coastlines.
