Celebrate Earth Day 2021 by helping us farm some plastic and cleanup a beach at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park on Thursday, April 22 from 10 am to 12 noon. Register today via the registration form below.

This cleanup is part of our Plastic Poetry series which combines a virtual workshop about recycling plastic with a poetry workshop from O, Miami. Plastic pollution from this cleanup will be recycled in to 5 inch tall letters to create plastic poems to be installed on the facades of buildings and structures located throughout Miami Dade County.

Our Earth Day cleanup is in partnership with O, Miami, Free Plastic, Key Biscayne Community Foundation, Key Biscayne’s Citizen Scientist Project, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of all of those participating, this cleanup has been restricted to 20 participants, selected in the order of registration. Furthermore, all participants must wear masks during the event and maintain proper social distancing to protect everyone in our group.

Each participant should download & complete this Cleanup Waiver, and bring it to the event. Information regarding free admission to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park will be supplied with your registration confirmation.

Thank you all for your support, and we hope you have a safe, green, and impactful Earth Day!
