Commissioner Raquel Regalado's First D7 Beach Cleanup

We are getting back to normal operations after our role with the #SupportSurfside campaign has begun to wind down, and we realized that we missed a few important posts from the past month.

First up in our catch up posts, a GIANT THANK YOU to Commissioner Regalado for inviting us to participate in their first D7 beach cleanup!

The Office of Commissioner Raquel Regalado’s beach cleanup at Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center on June 26th included Commissioner Regalado’s team, Fill-a-Bag, and Miami Eco Adventures. Together we cleaned up over 151 pounds of pollution while recovering 47 pounds of plastic.

We have already begun processing the reclaimed plastic, and some of it is going into our next plastic poem. The last image is showing our new “confetti cake” blend.
