Plastic Poetry at Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center

Plastic Poetry 012
Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center

In October 2023, Free Plastic and O, Miami installed their 14th poem in a series of public art works entitled Plastic Poetry.

Plastic Poetry is a series of community activations that blends recycling plastics, plastic pollution, beach cleanups, public art, and poetry. The text was written by Klara Spreer, a student from Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center commissioned by O, Miami.

The five-inch letters are rendered in 3.91 lbs of recycled post-consumer plastic and plastic pollution harvested from various beach cleanups held throughout Miami-Dade County in 2023.
